How MirrorTrade works.

Getting started

MirrorTrade copies a Hyperliquid trader into your own Hyperliquid account. When they trade, you trade, sized to your account. Copies land a median 412 ms after their fill.

What you need

  • A Hyperliquid account with USDC in it.
  • The wallet that owns that account, to sign with.

You don't send us any money. There is no deposit, no subscription and no sign-up fee.

Three steps, about four minutes

1Connect walletYou sign a message to prove the account is yours. It costs nothing and moves nothing.
2Approve keyYour wallet signs two approvals on Hyperliquid: our fee ceiling of 3 bp and a trading-only agent key.
3Pick a traderChoose a trader, set your deposit, how hard you follow and when to stop. Press Start copying.

From then on, every trade they make is copied into your account until you stop. Each copy shows their fill next to yours.

How copying works

Copies follow the share of their account. If a trader puts 30% of their account into an ETH long, your copy is a 30% ETH long too.

AccountPositionSize
The trader$4,200,00030% long ETH$1,260,000
You$25,00030% long ETH$7,500

The sizing rule

Every order of theirs becomes an order of yours:

your order = their order × your deposit ÷ their equity × how hard you follow

Your deposit is the amount you set for this trader. You can copy several traders, each with their own deposit.

How hard you follow scales everything from 0.25× to 2×. At 2× your positions are twice the matched size, and so are your gains, losses and fees.

What gets copied

  • Opening, adding to, reducing and closing positions, on every coin they trade.
  • Every copy is sent as an Immediate-or-Cancel order. It fills at once at the best price on the book, so you are always the taker.
  • Your fill price can differ a little from theirs, because you trade just after them. The app shows both prices side by side.

Skipped trades

When we can't place a copy, it is listed with the reason. The usual reasons are an order under Hyperliquid's $10 minimum, a coin you blocked, or a position already at your limit.

Copy score

Hyperliquid rejects any order under $10. Scale a trader down to a small account and their small trades fall under that line. Those trades can't be copied.

The copy score is the answer, out of 100: of every 100 trades this trader makes, how many would still be $10 or more at your deposit.

How hard you follow

Your copy

It depends on both of you

The same trader can score 10 at $1,000 and 95 at $25,000. A bigger deposit makes every copy bigger, so more of them clear $10. That's why the score changes when you change "Your deposit" in the app.

We count from the trader's recent trade history on Hyperliquid. Fills on the same coin that land together count as one trade.

What the app tells you

Works

A score of 50 or more, and our fee comes to under 10% of your deposit a year.

Works, with a catch

A score from 20 to 49, or a fee of 10% a year or more. You can still start, with the number in front of you.

Can't copy at this size

A score under 20. Start is turned off, and the app shows the deposit where this trader starts to work.

Skipped trades are usually the small ones, so the money you miss is often much less than the count. Your trade list will still show a lot of skips.

If a trader has no recent trades, there is nothing to measure. The app says so and shows no score. It never shows a guess as a score.

Fees

One fee, on the orders we place for you. The standard rate starts at 3 bp and falls to 1 bp as you copy more. Nothing from your profit, ever.

Launch price — your first 30 days: every trade copied in your first 30 days is charged 1 bp. After that you're on the standard rate, and it only ever moves down from there.

The rate falls as you copy more

RateLifetime copied volumePer $1,000On $100,000 copied
3 bpUnder $250,000$0.30$30.00
2 bp$250,000 to $1,000,000$0.20$20.00
1 bpPast $1,000,000$0.10$10.00

Your total only grows, so once you pass a break point the lower rate is yours for good. A bigger deposit doesn't lower the rate by itself. It copies more dollars per trade, so you reach the break points sooner.

What you pay on

The fee is charged on notional: the dollar size of every order we place for you, opening and closing. A $4,000 position opened and closed again is $8,000 of notional. That costs $2.40 at 3 bp and $0.80 at 1 bp.

1 bp is 0.01%, or 10 cents per $1,000.

Hyperliquid's own fee

Hyperliquid charges its own taker fee of 4.5 bp on perps, the same as when you trade there yourself. Ours sits on top. All in, a copied order costs 7.5 bp at our 3 bp rate and 5.5 bp at 1 bp.

What it costs over a year

What you pay depends on how much your trader trades. A trader who turns over their whole account 10 times a month makes you pay the fee on 10 times your deposit each month.

fee per year = monthly turnover × 12 × rate

Your deposit isn't in that sum. The percentage is the same at $500 or $500,000; only the dollars change.

Our fee, per year

Among the 65 traders in the app on 4 Oct 2026, the median turned over 11 times their account a month. That's 4% a year at 3 bp. 19 of the 65 came to more than 10% a year, so the app marks them "Works, with a catch".

We can't raise the fee

Hyperliquid only accepts a fee approval signed by your own wallet, and an agent key is not allowed to sign one. You sign a 3 bp ceiling, and that is the most you can ever be charged. Hyperliquid's own cap on this kind of fee is 10 bp.

Safety

We cannot withdraw your funds.

Your money stays in your own Hyperliquid account the whole time. We place orders in it through an agent key, and Hyperliquid doesn't let an agent key withdraw or transfer. That's the venue's rule, so it holds even if we wanted otherwise.

What an agent key is

An agent key is Hyperliquid's own way to let an app trade for you. Your wallet approves the key's address once. After that the key can place and cancel orders in your account, and nothing more.

What we can't do

  • Withdraw your funds. Hyperliquid doesn't let an agent key sign a withdrawal.
  • Move money anywhere, to us or to anyone else.
  • Raise our fee. That approval needs your wallet's signature.
  • Stop you leaving. You revoke the key on Hyperliquid without asking us.

What we can do

  • Place and cancel orders in your account. That's what copying is.
  • See your positions and balance.
  • Lose you money. Copied trades can lose, up to all of your deposit. Any service that can trade for you can do this.
  • Go down. If we do, copying pauses and your positions stay open.

If we go down

Your positions stay exactly as they are. Nothing closes them automatically, and nobody can move them. You can always manage them yourself on Hyperliquid. Copying picks up again when we're back.

Stop & revoke

You can stop at any time, in the app or on Hyperliquid without us.

Stop copying a trader

Press Stop copying on the trader. New trades stop being copied straight away. Positions you already hold stay open, so you can close them in the app or on Hyperliquid when you choose.

Stop automatically

When you start a copy you pick a stop: 10%, 25%, 50% of your deposit, or Never. If that copy loses that much, we stop copying and close the positions it opened.

Revoke the key

On Hyperliquid, open the API page and remove the MirrorTrade agent. From that moment we can't place any order in your account. This works even if our service is down.

Risks

Copy trading is trading. You can lose money, and you can lose it fast.

  • Past results don't predict yours. The leaderboard shows the last 30 days. A trader can have a great month and a terrible next one.
  • Perpetual futures use leverage. Positions can be liquidated, and you can lose all of your deposit.
  • Your results will differ from theirs. Skipped trades, slightly worse prices because you trade after them, and fees all add up.
  • Their deposits and withdrawals change your sizing. Your copies follow the share of their account, so when their equity changes, so do your positions.
  • Outages happen. If we or Hyperliquid go down, copying pauses and your positions stay open.
  • This is not advice. Picking a trader is your decision.

Questions

Do I send you any money?

No. Your funds stay in your Hyperliquid account. Our fee is added to each copied order by Hyperliquid and paid out to us from there.

Is there a minimum deposit?

No. Hyperliquid's $10 order minimum decides which traders work at your size, and the copy score shows you that before you start.

Can I copy more than one trader?

Yes. Each copy has its own deposit, follow setting and stop.

Does a bigger deposit get a lower rate?

No. Your lifetime copied volume sets the rate. A bigger deposit reaches $250,000 and $1,000,000 sooner.

Can my rate go back up?

No. Your copied volume only grows, so a lower rate is yours for good, even after a quiet month.

Do traders take a cut on top?

Some can. If a trader charges a cut, it's on their card before you follow and never added later. Charging nothing is the default.

What if my trader stops trading?

Then nothing is copied and you pay nothing. Each trader's card shows when they last traded.

How fast are copies?

Copies land a median 412 ms after the trader's fill.
